Things To Remember

- Get the help you are entitled to from the government and the support it offers.

- If you have insurance etc chase up any claims to speed up the process.

- Don't stay with friends or relatives longer than required. It's hard for them too and it's ultimately better for you to get back on track.

- Stay positive - it's possible to get life back on track again.

- You will smile again.

- The experience will make you stronger.

- Keep working towards getting your life together again. Don't stop until it's done.

- Use this time to do things you may not normally have time to do. For example reading a book or keeping a journal can help you stave off boredom.

- Keep in touch with friends and family. Keep them updated on what's happening they're probably worried.

- Accept that things could take a while to get going instead of fighting against it. But keep on making progress the whole time.

- Find at least one reason to smile every day if not more!
